Two members of staff at Specsavers Redruth have been awarded for going above and beyond for customers in the town.
Dispensing optician, Caesha Tainani received an excellence title for visiting a young autistic customer at home in her own time as she recognised how stressful the store environment was for him.
Caeshi was awarded a certificate signed by Specsavers founder, Dame Mary Perkins, and a gold and diamond star pin badge.
Optometrist Matthew Thoume was presented with a commendation certificate for an urgent patient referral after he detected a retinal detachment.
The customer wrote to Matthew to thank him and to highlight the care she had received at an otherwise stressful time.

Redruth store director, Jonathan Eva, said: ‘Congratulations to Matt and Caesha for your awards. You have shown great care in looking after our customers and deserve every bit of recognition.
‘We know that every single one of our customers have different needs and these awards highlight just how much the team in Redruth care about your eye health.’
