Redhill boosts its director team
The team at Redhill is delighted to announce a new business partner at their Specsavers store.
Welcome Nick Bradshaw!
Nick has been with the team since 2017 and boasts over 17 years’ experience in the optical industry. He now joins current partners, Prashant and Karen Patel as their new store director.
Nick's career history
Nick qualified as an optometrist in 2006. His career path is testament to his strong work ethic that saw him work as an optical advisor at weekends during his GCSEs’ and A-Levels’ studies.
Throughout his time at Anglia Ruskin University where he studied optometry and obtained a first class honours degree, Nick worked as a lab technician at a large local laboratory. His time on the shop floor and working his way up through the ranks gives him a complete 360 overview of how to effectively manage and direct a store.
To date, his career has seen him progress from a pre-registration optometrist to manager, followed by roles of a specialist refractive optometrist and regional trainer. In the last few years, Nick has been a regional optometry development manager and joined Specsavers in Redhill as a principal optometrist in 2014.
Thrilled to take this new next step
Nick is now looking forward to his new challenge of business partner at the Redhill store. He says: ‘I am delighted to start this new chapter of my career as an ophthalmic store director.
'It is the perfect challenge for me, as it combines my optical knowledge and areas of specialisms with the commercial side of running an effective, successful store that is already well renowned for its professional service in the local community.’
Outside of work, Nick lives in Redhill with his wife and two young sons aged four and one. He is a keen jogger when time permits: by his own admission, family and children’s activities take up most of his leisure time!
