Members of staff at a Redditch opticians spread Christmas cheer on Friday 16 December by sporting Christmas jumpers in aid of international charity, Save the Children.

The team ditched their uniforms for the day, swapping them for festive knits in return for a donation, raising nearly £30.

A word from the store director

‘Christmas Jumper Day is always a great opportunity to have some festive fun while raising money for a brilliant charity,’ said store director Sarah Wright. ‘We’re so grateful to our local community for their generosity and support of Save the Children, and hope that the money we raised will make a difference to children in need.’

Save the Children

The charity operates in more than 120 countries, providing emergency relief, education, healthcare and protection, working to tackle poverty and global hunger, and fighting for children’s rights. Established in the 1920s, the charity aims to give all children a healthy start in life, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm.
