Raising a festive smile in Sutton-in-Ashfield
December is here and Christmas Jumper Day 2016 is in Sutton-in-Ashfield.
Staff from Specsavers located in Idlewells Shopping Centre donned their festive knits in exchange for a donation to Save the Children, raising a total of £30.29.
Specsavers Sutton store director, Nigel Davidson, said: ‘Nothing says Christmas more than a fun and festive jumper. What better way to support the incredible work that Save the Children does, than to raise a smile from all our customers.’
Every year, Save the Children encourages members of the public to sign up to wear a festive jumper on Christmas Jumper Day to fundraise for the charity. The money goes towards bringing essentials like healthcare, education, protection and food to the millions of children around the world who are missing out on basic support.
