Staff at Specsavers in Sutton Coldfield and Mere Green are championing road safety in the local community by donating high-visibility vests to The Coppice School in Sutton Coldfield.

The high-vis vests help to ensure its pupils are seen when out and about during the winter months.

Helping to educate young people

Store director, Tim Goodhew said: ‘We are committed to helping local children stay safer on the streets – anything that helps educate young people about road safety or to make them more visible, especially to drivers, is invaluable.

‘It’s great that we’ve been able to support The Coppice School and we are now inviting other local schools or groups to come forward if they’d like to receive some high visibility vests.

'We will be handing them out on a first come, first served basis.’
