Specsavers proudly sponsored Blind Veterans UK’s annual Christmas Carol Concert at the beautiful St Marylebone Parish Church on Tuesday 5 December. Throughout the year Specsavers stores around the country have been helping to raise money for the charity through local fundraising and fun days.

Getting into the festive spirit

The evening was a very special occasion where guests enjoyed music by Wetherby School and Wetherby Preparatory school choirs, as well as the North London Military Wives Choir, and mince pies to get them into the Christmas spirit.

Guests also enjoyed Christmas readings from June Brown MBE who served as a Wren in during the Second World War and Brian Blessed OBE served in the parachute regiment based at RAF Brize Norton.

The event raised just over £16k for Blind Veterans UK which will help support thousands of blind veterans to find life beyond sight loss.
