Specsavers in Beckenham and Penge are urging locals to take care of their eyes this winter by getting an eye test.
Itchy, dry eyes
The winter months are known to be particularly harsh on the eyes, with the unforgiving winter winds outside and the dry heat radiating inside causing sudden onset of moisture evaporation inside our eyes.
This moisture makes it increasingly difficult for our tear glands to maintain the protective layer of liquid coating our eyes needs to stay hydrated and leads to itchy, dry eyes.
Come to Specsavers
Specsavers Beckenham store director, Premal Patel, says: ‘Dry eyes can be incredibly uncomfortable and can lead to blurred vision, a burning sensation or even watery vision as our eyes attempt to compensate.’
‘With cold temperatures expected for a while still, now is as good a time as any to come to Specsavers and make sure you’re maintain your eye health.’
