Specsavers in Portishead is celebrating the dedication of its store manager after she clocked up an impressive 20 years at the store.

Store manager, Madeline Middleton, has always worked in optics and qualified as a Dispensing Opticians (DO) in 1994.

Since then, she has gone on to achieve many milestones under the Specsavers brand, including supervising four graduates through their DO qualifications.

In the past 20 years, Madeline has witnessed a number of changes to the local community and in the Portishead store, but she pinpoints advances in technology and the expansion of the team as two of the most impressive.

'Thank you to the Portishead team'

‘It has been incredible to see first-hand how far our investment has gone in ensuring our customers are getting the very best eyecare and audiology services,’ says Madeline.

‘The advances in technology and the accuracy of detecting eye diseases has improved dramatically since I started, while the advancement in frames, lenses and contacts technology has been second to none.

‘I would like to thank the team and all my lovely customers for their support over the past 20 years. It’s been a pleasure working in the store for the last two decades, and I’m looking forward to many more successful years to come.’
