Fundraising for guide dogs
Members of staff from Specsavers in Portishead held a fundraising day on Friday 13 October to mark Guide Dogs Week (7 - 15 October), raising almost £100.
The team dressed down for the day, had a cake sale and sold Guide Dogs puffer stickers. There was also a giant cuddly dog in store called Marley.
To help boost the fundraising total, customers took part in a ‘can you guess my name’ competition where they had to guess the cuddly dog’s name to be in chance of winning a big tub of chocolates. All money raised went to Guide Dogs.
A word from the store director
Store director, David Perrigo said: ‘It was great day and lots of fun for everyone involved. Guide Dogs Week was the perfect opportunity to fundraise, and we would like to say a huge thank you to everyone that came along to support the charity.’
