2016 south west winners

In 2016, sisters Esme, aged seven and Bronte, aged four represented the south west at the awards presentation in the Palace of Westminster with Specsavers founder and awards Patron, Dame Mary Perkins.

The sisters were awarded for their fundraising efforts in support of their parent’s charity, the Mariposa Trust, a baby loss charity started in 2012.

Plymouth store director, Philip Gray, said: ‘It’s so inspiring to hear the incredible stories and achievements of the young people nominated for the British Citizen Youth Awards, and we’re extremely proud to support such a worthy cause.’
