The Specsavers Plymouth group, including eye care and hearing care in Armada Way, Sainsbury’s Marsh Mills, Plymstock and Saltash, are delighted to lend their support once again to the Plymouth Herald community awards.
Celebrating our unsung heroes
Every year the awards celebrate the city's bravest, most inspiring residents who go above and beyond in their daily lives for the sake of others.
From the Plymouth Herald
Rachael Dodd, print writer for The Herald, said: ‘We are delighted to bring the Community Awards back for a sixth year with the help of our sponsor Specsavers.
‘We'd like to thank this wonderful company for their continued support of these awards. They have been instrumental in making this event happen and assisting us in praising some of Plymouth's most hidden heroes over the years.
‘With their help we hope to honour some truly extraordinary people at our awards ceremony on 25 June.’
Dr Josie Forte, optical director of the Plymouth Group said: ‘As a local business and employer we know how important community is, which is why we are delighted to again lend our collective support to the Plymouth Herald community awards.
‘Last year we were inspired by the incredible stories of all of the very deserving winners at the awards evening in December. We’ve all been following news of the entries this year in the Plymouth Herald. There’s no doubt that the judges had an incredibly difficult decision but we look forward to celebrating their achievements in June.’
