Plymouth Comic Relief success
Specsavers stores in Plymouth were overwhelmed this year by customers buying the official Red Nose Day glasses.
More than 963 pairs of the novelty specs were sold across the stores on Armada Way and Marsh Mills.
Armada Way was also the fifth best performing store for sales in the whole country!
Priced at £2 a pair in both children’s and adult sizes the novelty red glasses accessorised with waving hands were a huge hit contributing to Specsavers stores nationwide beating their pledge of £250,000 and raising a massive £475,000!
Josie Forte, Plymouth store director, said: ‘Thank you so much to all our customers in and around Plymouth for supporting this year’s Comic Relief. We hope that you all had as much fun as us in store!’
A great cause
Specsavers fundraising for Comic Relief will help poor and vulnerable people living tough lives both here in the UK and across Africa.
Specsavers has been a Comic Relief partner since 2015.
