The team from Specsavers in Oxford recently took part in Jeans for Genes day this year by donning their favourite denim in return for donations.

All proceeds from the day are going towards funding a range of initiatives that will improve the lives of children across the UK affected by genetic disorders.

The charity develops resources for schools to make pupils more aware and empathetic of the difficult lives that sufferers lead, as well as supporting families affected by genetic disorders.

A word from the store director

‘Supporting research and awareness of genetic disorders is a great cause and one that the team were very proud to be a part of,’ said store director Greg Harding. ‘We’d like to extend a big thank you to our customers who popped in and donated on the day.’
