Comic Relief in the frame
Staff at Specsavers Halesowen embraced Red Nose Day as they raised £650 for Comic Relief.
The team ditched their uniforms in favour of Red Nose Day t-shirts, ran a ‘name the teddy bear’ competition, hosted a bake sale and sold the official Red Nose Day comedy specs, with all proceeds going to the charity.
Shahid Parvez, store director said: ‘It was great to get behind the Red Nose Day activity and to raise money for Comic Relief, thanks to everyone who supported us.’
Specsavers in Halesowen has joined Specsavers stores nationwide to support Comic Relief to help poor and vulnerable people living tough lives both here in the UK and across Africa and pledged to raise at least £250,000 for the charity.
Specsavers has been a Comic Relief partner since 2015.
