Staff from Specsavers in Bradley Stoke are taking part in a skydive to raise funds for CLIC Sargent.
On Sunday 9 September, optical assistant Elliot Woodman will be joined by apprentice, Shaun Hillier as they jump out of a plane in Swindon at 10,000 feet.
A word from the store director
‘It’s really encouraging to see team members going above and beyond to support CLIC Sargent,’ said store director, Gaurav Patel. ‘Not only has this charity partnership raised a great sum for the charity so far, it has brought the store teams closer together, which is great to see.’
‘While we’re so excited, it’s safe to say we’re both a little nervous too. That’s why it’s great to be doing this together,’ said Elliot. ‘Thanks to those who have already donated. If you wish to donate, please pop into store or go to our fundraising pages below, we’d really appreciate any donation.’
Specsavers in Cribbs Causeway, Bradley Stoke and Filton have come together and nominated CLIC Sargent as their charity of the year for 2018. In a bid to raise as much money as possible for the children’s cancer charity, staff are taking part in a number of fundraising challenges and events throughout the year.
CLIC Sargent provides practical, financial and emotional support for children and teenagers who have been diagnosed with cancer or leukaemia. The charity believes that children with cancer have the right to the best possible treatment, care and support throughout their cancer journey and beyond.
