A new opticians opened in Oakham on 18 September, the first day of National Eye Health Week. As well as first class eyecare, there will also be a hearing centre in the Specsavers store at 7 High Street Oakham.
The brand new Specsavers store has the latest innovative technology to provide the local community with the best possible eyecare and hearing services. There will be an Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) machine used during every standard sight tests for all adults.
The hearing centre offers free hearing tests from highly skilled audiologists and top of the range hearing aids. Hearing tests are extremely important for everyone as many people don’t realise they have a problem until up to 40% of their hearing has been lost.
