Collecting for the future of vision overseas
The team at Norwich St Stephens Street have collected glasses for the last six months and are proud to announce a total donation of approximately 2000 glasses to international sight charity Vision Aid Overseas (VAO), who enable people living in poverty overseas to access affordable glasses and eye care.
This year the staff has collected a total of approximately 2000 glasses after the community rallied together with the store, handing in pairs of used and unwanted glasses to help improve access to eye care services in developing nations.
Collection for a cause
Store director Ian Sinha said: ‘It’s always lovely to see the overwhelming generosity of the local community when we do our annual collections for VAO. We can’t thank everyone who has donated enough. Thanks to them the sale of the reusable materials from these glasses will help create a positive effect on the lives of people less fortunate millions of miles away.’
Come in store and donate
Ian added: ‘We’re keen to keep up the hard work and continue helping VAO with donations. If you have any old or unwanted glasses, please come in store and donate. Even the smallest donations make a great difference.’
