Going the extra mile for children’s unit
Sister stores Mere Green Specsavers and Sutton Coldfield Specsavers have raised more than £1,180 for the Children’s Assessment Unit at Good Hope Hospital.
Woods, obstacles, lakes and fields
Six staff members took part in the 10-kilometre Wolf Run at Welsh Road Farm on Sunday 9 April. Colleagues Tim Goodhew, Ed Price, Rachel Mattiello, Sital Vara, Beki Maker and Hetain Mistry tackled the course as a team, which included woods, obstacles, lakes and fields.
A word from the store director
Tim Goodhew, store director at Specsavers in Mere Green and Sutton Coldfield, said: ‘We’re really pleased to have been able to take part in this year’s Wolf Run and raise essential funds for children in need at the Good Hope Hospital. We’ve pledged to raise £5,000 for the Children’s Assessment Unit this year and this is a brilliant contribution.
‘I’m really proud of the team for giving up their time for the cause and a big thank you goes to all who made a donation and sponsored us.’
