Opticians brave the shave for charity
Members of staff at Specsavers in Market Harborough will be getting their heads shaved to raise money for charity on Saturday 28 October.
Thirteen of the team will be shaving their heads and taking part in Macmillan Cancer Support’s ‘Brave the Shave’ fundraising event. It will take place at Specsavers on St Mary’s Place and the team hope to raise £2000 for the cancer charity.
A word from the store director
Store director, Barry Henning, says, 'We're delighted to be fundraising for such a great charity, but slightly nervous at the prospect of getting our heads shaved.
‘Macmillan Cancer Support is a charity close to our hearts, so, we decided to get our heads shaved outside the store on 28 October as part of Macmillan Cancer Support’s campaign. We need all the support we can get!’
The team have set up a Just Giving page to receive donations and help them reach their target.
