Crazy hair for Comic Relief
Kind customers and staff Specsavers Livingston helped raise an impressive £1212 during the store’s Red Nose Day fundraiser.
The store’s charity total contributed to the colossal £475,000 raised by Specsavers stores and offices throughout the UK.
Crazy hair day
The staff held a crazy hair day and hosted a tombolo and bake sale selling delicious cakes to help raise funds and awareness. The store stocked Specsavers’ waving Red Nose Day glasses in small and large sizes.
The glasses cost only £2 with the whole £2 from each pair going directly to Comic Relief to spend on life-changing projects both at home in the UK and across Africa.
Store director, Ted Akil said: ‘We’d like to thank all our customers for their support – we have been overwhelmed by their generosity.
‘Our staff have had lots of fun striking poses and baking up lots of treats for customers. Everyone’s so pleased that we were able to contribute a great amount to Specsavers’ total.’
