Foodie feast raises charity cash
Specsavers Lisburn joined forces with Guide Dogs NI to host a Great Guide Dogs Tea Party. Staff brought in eats and treats and served tea, coffee and soft drinks to customers who donated just over £100 to Guide Dogs NI.
Volunteers and staff from Guide Dogs NI joined the party along with local man and guide dog owner Paul Hunt who brought along his lovely dog Yeoman to the party to meet Specsavers staff and patients.
Guide Dogs NI services and volunteer opportunities
As well as raising cash for the charity the tea party helped profile the excellent work carried out by Guide Dogs NI and the range of services they provide to people living with sight loss. The event also highlighted the various volunteering and fundraising opportunities available to the public in the Lisburn region.
A fabulous event
Optometrist and Lisburn store director Jill Campbell said, ‘We had a wonderful day and appreciated the very kind donations made by our customers to Guide Dogs NI. Our staff worked very hard to organise the event and everyone brought in a lovely range of buns and goodies. It was a great opportunity to chat to customers and to meet Paul and his guide dog Yeoman.’
