A clear vision for international eyecare
Once again the Leighton Buzzard community has come together to help those less fortunate.
A mountain of specs
Specsavers in Leighton Buzzard has collected and donated a mountain of recycled glasses in store for Vision Aid Overseas.
Store director, Ekta Kotecha, said: ‘I’m amazed how many people continue to bring us their old specs. It goes to show how willing our customers are to help others.’
Access to eyecare for everyone
Glasses collected are donated to international charity and Specsavers official partners, Vision Aid Overseas, and redistributed in projects around the world in an effort to beat avoidable sight loss.
Ekta added: ‘It’s unbelievable that in 2017 many people still do not have access to free eyecare like we do in this country.
'We all need to come together to help and by donating your old specs you are potentially helping a grandmother see their grandchild for the first time or a child to learn to read.’
