Those wandering through Belgrave Gate on Wednesday 8 November found themselves doing a double take as they recognised some familiar faces modelling a new range of designer specs at Specsavers in Leicester.
Modelling in store
The team celebrated the launch of the new 2017 Balmain collection by showing off the frames in front of the store. Three members of staff, including one part-time model, showcased the new styles for onlookers while embodying true Balmain chic with their outfits.
‘The designer collection is gorgeous and so are the girls who modelled them,’ said in-store trainer and PR co-ordinator, Shaesta Musani.
‘We were really excited to celebrate the release of this long-awaiting range. The frames are beautiful and incredibly popular among the team and the brand is worn by a number of high-profile actresses, celebrities and style icons. The whole team is thrilled to have the specs as part of our offering here in Leicester.’
A word from the store director
Baljit Kaur, store director, said: ‘We really wanted to showcase the frames in a fun way, so we thought it would be great to have our very own team members modelling the designs. We’d also like to say thank you to all our customers who popped down to support the event, as well as getting a sneak peak of the range.
‘Choosing the right specs is an extremely important decision for our customers, and we are proud to cater for all by embracing fashion as well as good eye health.’
The collection, true to Balmain aesthetic, is inspired by its long tradition as a historic French fashion house. The range features 17 exclusive styles - 13 glasses and four prescription sunglasses. Each pair has been inspired by Balmain’s structured and expertly crafted clothing. Worn by the likes of Beyonce, the Kardashians and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, the brand is world-renowned.
