Kingsbury on hunt for local young heroes
Specsavers in Kingsbury has a special request for young people aged 16 and under.
Have you done amazing things for the community - if so, we want to hear your stories!
Specsavers founder, Dame Mary Perkins, is a patron and supporter of the BCYA - the British Citizen Youth Awards. This fantastic initiative looks to reward and recognise the incredible things that young people do. Maybe you have supported your community in a small way, or helped with a local charity? Whatever your good deed, we want to hear about it!
How to apply
The British Citizen Youth Awards are now open, and together with Dame Mary, Specsavers in Kingsbury is calling out to young people to apply and be recognised for your good work. Those applying need to be aged 16 or under by October 2017. To apply, simply email firstname.lastname@example.org with BCYA in the subject line. The deadline for all entries is Wednesday 9 August 2017.
What happens if you are shortlisted as a winner
Those lucky enough to be selected nationwide get to go to the Palace of Westminster in October 2017, where Specsavers founder Dame Mary Perkins will present the medals to those individuals who have done amazing things for their communities.
