An opticians in Kilmarnock has pledged to help youngsters stay safer on darker afternoons and evenings by donating high-visibility vests to Gargieston Primary School.
The donation is part of the store’s ongoing commitment to help local children stay safer on the streets by being clearly visible to motorists.
A word from the store director
Specsavers Kilmarnock store director, Martin O’Neil, recently visited the school to present the pupils with their new vests. Martin said: ‘At this time of
year, it can be very difficult for drivers to see pedestrians, making it especially vital to ensure children are safe when arriving and leaving school.
‘Helping to increase the safety of local children is so important and we’re pleased that we have been able to donate vests to benefit pupils.’
