Kenilworth put road safety first this winter
During Road Safety Week in November, staff from Specsavers in Kenilworth teamed up with the charity Brake to ensure that local children will be safe and seen this winter.
The team visited St. John’s Primary School and handed out 50 goody bags to the pupils, which included high visibility vests, sweets, activity sheets and vouchers.
Raising awareness about road safety
Sophie Callaghan, store merchandiser, and Jennie Marshall, dispensing optician, delivered a 20-minute presentation at the school informing the children about road safety and eyecare.
Helping children to be visible on the roads
Store director Ambreena Bhatti, commented: ‘We are committed to helping local children stay safer on the streets – anything that helps educate young people about road safety or to make them more visible, especially to drivers, is invaluable.
'Hopefully the vests will provide some peace of mind while kids are out and about.’
