School charity trip sees support from Inverness
Specsavers is supporting school pupils on a trip of a lifetime.
Pupils from Inverness Royal Academy will travel to Tanzania in March to work with the Vine Trust Home Building programme and Specsavers in the city has supported their fundraising efforts.
Chloe Cumming, one of the 21 teenagers taking part in the mission, visited the Inverness opticians recently to collect a cheque for £200.
Delighted to contribute
Andy Carr, store director at Specsavers Inverness, said: ‘It’s fantastic that this group from The Academy are pledging their time, money and skills to help build homes for communities in Tanzania.
‘We’re delighted to contribute to Chloe’s fundraising for the project and wish everyone in the group the very best for their trip next year.’
