Nameless bear raises cash for RNIB
Specsavers has raised £90.90 for Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) thanks to visitors’ donations to its ‘guess the bear’s name’ competition.
The Inverness opticians was raising awareness and vital funds for RNIB throughout National Eye Health Week recently and the winning name for the bear was announced this week as Pippin.
Each guess cost £1 and was combined with bucket donations to make a bumper fundraising total for the charity.
Andrew Carr, store director at Specsavers Inverness, said: ‘Thank you to everyone who contributed to our in store fundraising. We’re proud to support RNIB and are delighted with our total.
‘We hope our winner will find a happy home for the newly named teddy bear.’
