Specsavers in Oldham to celebrate 120K refit with relaunch event
Specsavers in Oldham town centre has undergone a £120k refit and expansion, investing in more space and top of the range facilities to accommodate its growing customer base.
The new look store now boasts a dedicated customer lounge area, a new shop front and the addition of seven iPads offering the latest ‘magic mirror’ technology – meaning customers can check out up to four new spectacle looks at once.
One of the most significant additions to the refitted store is a ground floor hearing consulting room that includes a soundproof booth.
With the refit complete and the new facilities now fully operational, the store is planning a relaunch event on the 28th March 2015 to celebrate featuring special guests Mark Flanagan, Oldham-born St Helens Super League player, and Jessica Fullalove Oldham-born Commonwealth Games swimmer and triple Youth Olympic silver medalist.
The local sporting duo will be officially cutting the ribbon at 3:00pm and will be available afterwards to chat with the public in the new customer lounge area.
Local people are invited to visit the new look store on the day to book free eye tests, enter prize draws and receive free giveaways.
Store director, Nigel Williams said: ‘This investment represents our commitment to Oldham town centre, where we have been based for the last 22 years, and supports our growing business needs by providing a larger selection of designer glasses, optical services and an expanded hearing service.
The finished result are fantastic – the store looks great and we are able to provide an even better eye and hearcare service to the people of Oldham.
We’ve also recently welcomed two new local partners to our team, Sidra Khatoon and Tracy Crabtree, to assist with the increasing popularity of our expanding hearcare service.
We look forward to welcoming customers – old and new - into the new look store very soon.’
