A fundraising frenzy
This Red Nose Day (Friday 24 March) Chelmsley Wood will be treated to a spec-tacle of fundraising as Specsavers hosts a party day in store, complete with a Comic Relief selfie station.
The team will getting behind the Comic Relief cause by ditching their uniforms in favour of red clothes, as well as running a ‘guess the number of sweets in the jar’ competition (entry is a suggested donation of £1).
And it doesn't stop there!
And the fun doesn’t stop there, as the store will be hosting a bake sale with all the treats being sold in return for a donation.
The team will also be offering specs MOTs (cleaning and adjustments) and free sight tests in return for donations as well as hosting a sweet hamper raffle. All proceeds will be donated to Comic Relief.
A word from the store director
Sukhwant Drake, store director said: ‘We really wanted to get behind the Comic Relief cause this year and try and raise as much money as possible.
We’re also selling the official Specsavers Comic Relief comedy specs, which are fantastic and available in-store now. We’re encouraging everyone who buys a pair to also join our giant Mexican wave on social media using the #GiveUsAWave.’
