Holborn shows support for local food bank

The team at Specsavers in Holborn have offered their support to a local food bank for the second year running.

All donations welcome

The store is calling for donations of food, toiletries and pet food for those most in need in London this Christmas.

Non-perishable food items from customers, such as dried pasta, rice, tins and jars of food, biscuits, soups and other long-life items, will be gratefully received. As will personal hygiene products like toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, sanitary products and shaving supplies.

A message from the team

Store merchandiser Sunita Wadhawan, who brought the idea of the food drive to the store in 2016, said: ‘We were absolutely overwhelmed by how many people donated last year, and the whole team is passionate about recreating that in 2017.

She continued: ‘We want to say a big thank you to everyone who has made a donation so far, and would also like to encourage more people to visit the store and continue to help us make a difference.’
