Hillsborough raises cash for children
Customers at Specsavers in Hillsborough have donated an amazing £80 towards Children in Need this year.
Those visiting the store on Middlewood Road on 17 November would have been greeted by a group of cheery staff wearing Children in Need t-shirts and bright yellow Pudsey ears.
The staff positioned collection boxes around the store and as always Hillsborough residents dug deep to support this worthy cause.
An amazing total
This year the charitable BBC campaign raised more than £50m, with the funds going to support disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.
Store director Lorna Armitage said: 'I've only been a director at Hillsborough Specsavers for a few months but already I have been blown away by the generosity of the customers here. Every time we invite the public to support one of the causes close to us, they do not let us down.'
