The team at Specsavers Hertford recently took part in the ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ for Macmillan.
What is the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning?
The event, which took place this year on Friday 28th September, is an annual fundraiser for Macmillan Cancer Support. People all over the UK are encouraged to host their own coffee mornings and donations on the day are made to Macmillan. This year, the charity hopes to raise over £27 million in total, to help those living with cancer to lives the fullest lives they can.
Hertford’s Coffee Morning
Specsavers Hertford, led by the team’s lab manager, organised a bake sale to coincide with the morning tea, cooking up all sorts of sweet treats for the local community. The event raised £100 for Macmillan, a great effort from the store.
A word from the director
Dhiren Nakrani, store director at Specsavers Hertford says:
‘We had a great time as a team fundraising for Macmillan. We want to say a big thank you to the community for their donations – without your support events like these wouldn’t be able to happen. We look forward to doing more, with your support, in the future!’
