Staff pound the pavements to raise funds
Staff from Specsavers in Greenock donned their best festive attire to take part in this year’s Jingle Bell Jog.
As well as raising more than £830 by participating in the fun run, Specsavers in Greenock was the main sponsor of the event.
The Jingle Bell Jog is a 3km walk, run or jog along Greenock Esplanade to raise funds for Ardgowan Hospice.
As part of its sponsorship, the store offered a pair of designer glasses complete with lenses worth up to £300 for the person who raised the most money.
Staff at the store have also been donning their best Christmas jumpers every weekend in December to raise funds for the hospice.
Lesley Brown, store director at Specsavers in Greenock, said: ‘Supporting Ardgowan Hospice has been a very important mission for our entire team.
‘Throughout the year we have held various fundraisers to support this extremely important local service that supports so many people diagnosed with life limiting conditions and their families.
‘Sponsoring and participating in the Jingle Bell Jog was a superb way to round off our fundraising. We all had a fantastic time and were very proud to raise vital funds.’
