The Greenock store was recognised for its outstanding performance this year by being one of a handful out of 700 stores shortlisted for Specsavers’ internal Awards for Excellence in the ‘overall performance’ category.
The store has excelled this year across the board and was praised in particular for its customer service, supporting the local community and charities and its domiciliary and hearing services.
The awards were hosted in Birmingham on Saturday 26 November and celebrated those stores across the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland that demonstrate a stand out performance in various areas of the business.
Staff from the Greenock store attended the awards ceremony. While the store missed out on first place, the evening was a chance for the store to celebrate and reflect on its achievements in 2016.
Celebrating hard work and commitment
Lesley Brown, store director at Specsavers in Greenock said: ‘We were over the moon to be shortlisted for the award and delighted to have the chance to attend the ceremony in Birmingham. It was a great opportunity to celebrate the hard work and commitment of all our staff as it has taken a huge team effort to achieve a phenomenal performance across the board this year.
‘We’ll be working just as hard next year to continue to offer the same great service to customers.’
