It was a case of celebrations all round at Specsavers Gravesend after staff member Angelina Gokani became a fully-qualified optometrist.
Angelina graduated from the City University, London in 2015 and, while in her third year, she started working as a part-time optical assistant at the Gravesend branch of Specsavers.
After completing her degree, she began her journey to become a fully-fledged optometrist.
She has now successfully completed her training year, receiving great support and guidance from experienced supervisors Blair Hunter and Aman Bahra at the Specsavers Gravesend store.
Putting learnings into practice
Angelina said: ‘I have always had an interest in eyes and love working with people, so optometry was the perfect career for me.
'I wanted to work for Specsavers because they too have a real passion for eyecare – and because they offer lots of opportunities for career progression.
‘The Gravesend branch has a great team that makes working here not only very rewarding, but also enjoyable.’
