Specsavers in Godalming has been very busy over the last few weeks, handing out high visibility jackets to schools and clubs in the community.

Great success!

Lots of schools and groups got in touch with the store following their call out to Godalming to offer free jackets to children.

The initiative was designed to coincide with Road Safety Week in November and help children been seen and stay safe in the winter months.

Brownies to schools

The team made visits to Loseley Fields School, Greenway stables and Ockford Rainbows, to name just a few.  Says store manager, Rebekah Ross who coordinated the activity: 'We had a great response and it's been an honour to meet lots of well-behaved and lovely children when out on our travels.

'The jackets form part of a ten year campaign to keep children visible in local towns and cities when the clocks go back, and I'm sure they will be put to good use in the following months.'
