A word from the store director
‘We’re thrilled to support the children in their learning through the Mathletics scheme,’ said store director, Paul Chessell.
‘It’s a pleasure to see these young pupils developing and it truly feels like we are making a difference. We are always looking for ways to give back to our local community, and supporting Birdlip Primary School was a great way to do this.’
Thanks from the school
Headteacher at Birdlip Primary School, David Metcalf, said: ‘We are hugely grateful to Gloucester Specsavers for their generosity in funding Mathletics – school budgets are very tight and this has enabled us to put provision in place for pupils that would not have happened otherwise.’
‘Mathletics is a great way of generating interest, excitement and engagement in maths both at school and at home and its provision is another tool to help us provide the best possible outcomes for pupils in maths across the school.’
Mathletics is a captivating online learning space providing students with all the tools they need to be successful learners, both in the classroom and beyond. The programme combines student-driven learning and teacher-led instruction to bring successful results.
The website includes learning activities, animation tutorials, live tasks, problem solving games, a maths concept dictionary, charts to show pupils’ strengths and weaknesses and weekly reports.
