Ice hockey players Carlo Finucci and Shayne Stockton joined forces with Specsavers Glenrothes to look out for the safety of youngsters this winter as they gifted high-visibility vests to fans.

Members of the store team attended the Flyers game at home on Saturday against the Edinburgh Capitals, armed with reflective vests for young supporters.

The donation was made by the Kingdom Centre opticians as part of its pledge to help children stay safe and be more visible to drivers when out in busy streets and public areas.

Giving back to the community

Stewart Wilson, store director at Specsavers Glenrothes, said: ‘We continually look for ways to give back to the local community and this donation is a fantastic way to help spread the road safety message.

‘It was great to have the support of Fife Flyers with a couple of players lending a hand.’
