Teams gets pretty muddy for charity
Colleagues from the teams at Specsavers in Southport and Formby have raised more than £400 for Cancer Research UK by taking part in a 5k muddy obstacle course.
Taking on the challenge
Crawling through mud pits and hauling themselves over obstacles, five members of staff from both stores took part in the Race for Life Pretty Muddy course to raise valuable money for the charity.
The event took place at Victoria Park in Warrington on Sunday 7th May and money raised through Race for Life allows Cancer Research UK’s doctors, nurses and scientists to advance research which is helping to save lives across the region.
Helping to beat cancer
The team joined more than more than 1,600 ladies on the course who all pulled on their best pink outfits from their wardrobe and got covered in mud for the charity.
