The staff at Specsavers in Folkestone feels really passionate about this year’s UK’s Best Park Awards and urges local residents to go online and vote for Radnor Park.
The park, near Folkestone, which has been nominated alongside more than 350 parks, is on a cliff top and also contains a beautiful Italian greenhouse which has been restored and maintained well.
Protecting community areas
The competition is being run by Fields in Trust, a national charity devoted to protecting parks, playing fields and playgrounds. Voting closes at 5pm on Friday 3 November, and the winner will be announced at the end of the month.
A word from the store director
Alistair Elgar-Williams, store director at Specsavers in Folkestone, said: ‘Green spaces are so vital to the community that use them and Radnor Park makes no exception. That is why we are inviting local residents to spare a few minutes to vote for our treasured park.’
