Members of staff at Specsavers in Burton-on-Trent raised more than £30 for an international children’s charity by taking part in Christmas Jumper Day on Friday 16 December.

The team swapped their usual uniforms for a range of jolly jumpers to support the campaign, which is run by Save the Children.

Making a difference

‘Christmas is a time of joy for many of us, but it’s important to remember that there are so many children around the world who are facing a real struggle,’ comments store director, Linda Joyce.

‘The work that Save the Children does is essential for vulnerable children in so many countries, and we hope that the money we have raised will help to make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.’

Save the Children aims to give children a healthy start in life, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm.
