Staff celebrate St Piran's Day with a Comic Relief twist

Specsavers in Falmouth joined stores nationwide to support Comic Relief, but with a twist.

Ogi, ogi, ogi!

Putting a Cornish spin on the fundraising, staff came together over a pasty on St Piran’s Day to drum up support and donations wearing the fun specs with waving comedy hands.

Sell out success

Thanks to the support of staff and customers throughout March the Falmouth store contributed greatly to the £250,000 nationwide pledge. In fact thanks to staff and customers the pledge was smashed with stores raising a massive £475,000!

Falmouth store director, Paul McGrane said: ‘We all enjoyed our obligatory pasty to celebrate St Piran’s day and it really helped us to drum up support for Red Nose Day as well! Thank you to all our customers for their support and I hope they had as much fun as we did.’

A great cause

Specsavers fundraising for Comic Relief will help poor and vulnerable people living tough lives both here in the UK and across Africa.

Specsavers has been a Comic Relief partner since 2015.
