Specsavers Fort Kinnaird donated 200 high visibility jackets to local primary school

Specsavers Fort Kinnaird is helping to keep local children safer by donating high visibility vests to a local primary school of Road Safety Week (20-26 November).

The store donated 200 children’s vests to primary one and two pupils at Cockenzie Primary School to ensure children remain visible in the darker evenings.

Ongoing commitment

The donation is part of the store’s ongoing commitment to help local children stay safer on the streets by being clearly visible to motorists.

Store director at Specsavers in Fort Kinnaird, Tracy Galloway, said: ‘It is a real pleasure to play our role in keeping the children of Cockenzie Primary School visible during the winter.

‘The dark nights and poor weather mean that road conditions are more treacherous during the winter months so we want to ensure that children – and their parents - feel safe and when they’re out and about over the next few months.’
