Still seeing patients that first came through the door a quarter of a century ago, Kam Gohil is celebrating his 25th anniversary of being a partner at Specsavers in Ealing.
Now expanding across two more stores in Acton and Chiswick, Kam has seen Ealing change and develop as well as his optometry practice, with the introduction of new technology such as OCT, which can spot issues with your eye health up to four years in advance.
A word from the director
Kam says: ‘The high street is completely different than it was 25 years ago, there has been a huge amount of development and the anticipation of Crossrail is great. I can see the area being rejuvenated with this development.
‘I am so grateful to the community, in particular for their loyalty as we still see patients coming through the door who I first tested 25 years ago. I love Ealing and its residents so it is great to celebrate this milestone.’
Bringing up future optometrists
Not only has Kam supported the community with their eye health needs, but he has also worked within the teaching community, working with the College of Optometry and General Optical Council to bring through new talent.
Kam continues: ‘It has been a continual journey over the last 25 years and I have had to evolve, but have enjoyed every minute of it. I still feel as passionate as I did when I first arrived.’
