Pupils at a Hindlip Primary School have been eyeing up life at an opticians thanks to Specsavers in Droitwich.

The team at Specsavers created a special role play box for the school - which was used in the EYFS reception class, to help the children learn about opticians.

Fun with learning

‘We hadn’t appreciated just how well received our role play box would be,’ said store director Emma Singh.

‘As well as the children clearly having a great time, the teacher also said that it was a wonderful way to combine maths, literacy and science.’

High-vis vests donation

Alongside providing the role play box, Specsavers in Droitwich has also been championing road safety in the community by donating high-visibility vests to local schools.

The store has donated more than 200 high-visibility vests to six primary schools including Hindlip, to help ensure pupils are seen during the winter months.

Emma added: ‘Keeping children visible during these dark days is really important – so hopefully these vests will help as they walk to and from school, or when they are out and about.'
