Droitwich Specsavers has donated more than 130kg of non-perishable items and emergency food supplies to the local fodbank.

The store, located in St. Andrew’s Square, encouraged their customers to donate tins and jars of food, dried pasta, rice, soups, biscuits and other long-life items to help provide food parcels to local people in desperate need.

A word from the store director

‘The foodbank initiative is something that we take part in every year,’ said store director and optometrist Emma Singh. ‘It’s really important to recognise that there are so many people in our community who struggle to provide for themselves and their families. As a local business, it’s our responsibility to help as much as we can.

‘We want to say a big thank you to our lovely customers for supporting the food drive and donating to those in need. We hope that these emergency supplies go a long way during the winter months and those in need are able to find some comfort in what we have donated.’
