Dorking keeps kids safe and seen
Each year, Specsavers in Dorking supports Road Safety Week with the free supply of children's high visibility jackets, and this year, they have been delighted to donate to North Down and Wealde Schools.
Hundreds donated over last decade
The team has become renowned locally for issuing free jackets every year.
The objective behind the initiative is to help drivers see children on the roads in the winter months, and give parents, teachers and group leaders some reassurance that children remain visible when out and about on outings.
A word from the store director
Store director Yehia Al-Omari said: 'It's a honour to play our small part in helping young children remain visible after the clocks go back, and we are proud to say that we have been doing this for the last decade.
'Good vision, of course, is another way we can do 'our bit' to be a safe driver when we get behind the wheel. If you haven't seen us in over two years, please do make an appointment as good vision is paramount if you are a driver."
