Santa paid a special visit to the Specsavers Derry/Londonderry store to help spread some Christmas cheer and raise vital cash for Foyle Search and Rescue.

Staff sold traybakes sand buns and created a wonderful festive party atmosphere for customers, friends and family.  

Staff voted to adopt Foyle Search and Rescue    

The Derry Specsavers team have adopted Foyle Search and Rescue over the coming months to focus on fundraising activities for this vital charity which covers search and rescue operations, not just in the North-West region, but throughout the island of Ireland and the UK when needed.

Charity offers a vital service

Foyle Search and Rescue was set up in 1993 and is managed by volunteers 365 days a year. For more information on the work of the charity please click here

Derry Store director and Specsavers NI Chair Sean McCauley said the store was delighted to support such an important local charity: ‘We’d like to thank everyone who contributed to our festive fundraising event.
