Clacton enjoy a day out on the river
Staff from Specsavers in Clacton-on-Sea enjoyed a fantastic away day last month, celebrating recent successes and doing team-building exercises.
It was ‘all aboard’ the Lady Orwell, as the team sailed for three hours from Ipswich Wet Lock, through the historical sights of Orwell Bridge, Freston Tower, Harwich Harbour, Felixstowe Docks and the Stour Estuary, enjoying the beautiful Suffolk countryside along the way.
Thanking staff for their hard work
Store director Stuart Moir said: ‘It was fantastic getting together as a team and enjoying our river cruise. Everyone had a great time and it was a lovely way to thank the staff for all the hard work they’ve put in; as well as getting them ready for the busy Christmas season approaching.’
There were costumes, activities and games throughout, with vouchers given away as prizes for the winners. Stuart presented awards to celebrate some of the staff members’ fantastic achievements since he joined the store in March.
Tina Block was awarded for her fantastic organisation of the inventory process, meaning the most popular frames are immediately available to customers 95% of the time.
Helen Ward won a prize for the great work she does with NHS customers, while Barbara Galvani was toasted for going above and beyond with customer service. In addition, Helen ‘H’ Goffin was commended with a long service award after being with Specsavers for over five years.
